Regional Manager
The Regional Manager – Industrial/Commercial Water Treatment is responsible for overseeing regional operations, customer account management, technical service performance, and business development activities for industrial and commercial water treatment programs. This leadership role is focused on driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and employee development across multiple territories and customer accounts. The Regional Manager works closely with account managers, technical service teams, and company leadership to support strategic growth initiatives, maintain high service standards, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee regional industrial and commercial water treatment operations and customer accounts.
• Lead, mentor, and support account managers, technical service representatives, and field personnel within the assigned region.
• Develop and execute regional business development and growth strategies.
• Identify opportunities for new business, account expansion, and increased service offerings.
• Maintain strong relationships with key customers, facility personnel, contractors, and industry partners.
• Review water treatment program performance for boilers, cooling towers, closed-loop systems, reverse osmosis systems, and wastewater applications.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to support customer retention and program optimization.
• Assist with complex troubleshooting, customer concerns, and escalated service issues.
• Support preparation and review of proposals, pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
• Monitor regional sales performance, profitability, and operational metrics.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, training, and workforce development activities.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, environmental, and company safety standards.
• Oversee inventory management, chemical usage, and operational resources across the region.
• Participate in customer audits, strategic planning, and leadership meetings.
• Support hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of regional employees.
• Maintain accurate reporting related to customer activity, sales growth, operational performance, and regional initiatives.
• Respond to emergency service situations and provide operational support when needed.
Qualifications
• Experience in industrial/commercial water treatment, operations management, technical service management, or related industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cooling tower treatment, boiler treatment, closed-loop systems, reverse osmosis systems, and wastewater treatment processes.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams, customer accounts, and regional operations.
• Strong business development, sales management, and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to analyze operational data, water treatment performance, and financial metrics.
• Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and service reporting software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
Preferred Skills
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related field.
• Water treatment certifications (AWT, CWT, operator certifications, etc.) preferred.
• Experience with automated chemical feed and remote monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple territories, operational priorities, and customer relationships effectively.
